On July 25th, 2021, the fee to record most documents in Washington State increased significantly as a result of HB 1277, a bill passed during the 2021 legislative session. The purpose of the surcharge is to fund state and local programs that promote low-income housing, eviction prevention, and homelessness services.
In direct response to the recently passed bill, we have adjusted our pricing to cover the additional statewide filing fees we’re now incurring for each lien and notice filed.
